Carl Rogers and Person-centered Therapy (PCT) Video

25 Sep

Wow!  Want to see a real session with Carl Rogers’ and patient “Gloria.”  This video is part 1 of 5 and was posted on YouTube by  “esherborne3.”  Having read a great deal on PCT, it was really neat to find these videos actually discussing and demonstrating Rogers’ work.  It’s especially interesting to hear Rogers discuss PCT/humanism in his own words rather than simply reading about them in a psychotherapy/theory text book.

Part 1 mainly discusses the theory itself.  Enjoy!

Tomorrow I will post Pt2, and so on (or you can just use escherborne3’s page to view all of them back to back) 🙂 (Hopefully, in part 2, we’ll get into some actual counseling!)
